As the new president of the French Special Interest Group of the ATA Second Languages and Intercultural Council, I am thrilled to take over all of the fine work that Wendy Urquhart has been doing to advocate for and serve French as a Second Language teachers.

I am pleased to have an awesome executive team of dedicated teachers to work with. We have been asking the question - how can we support FSL teachers in our province? To start with, we need to connect with teachers and find out what they need. Secondly, we need to let them know that we're here.

SLIC is on a mission to increase memberships this year and the French SIG most defintely would like to see more members join us as we strive to work smarter together.
