Great post Aaron! I especially liked the part on the page where kids are identifying themselves as "Video producer, blogger, gamer, animator", and especially, "teacher"! When I look at my own teenage children, they're not quite there yet (aside from 'social networker' and 'gamer') and my hope is that teachers make the [sometimes scary] decision to embrace these new technologies which help students develop as meaning makers and media makers.
Obviously these are not normal parents. I like what they are saying but I hope that they are richly involved with what their kids are doing. The students are clearly creators which is great but are the parents aware of what they are doing. The profile on Justin shows that he has his computer in his room. What do you think of the parents' perspectives? As adults are you as comfortable with your child's use of and involvement with tech.
