In support of the Innovative Classrooms initiative, the “Leading Our Way Forward” Supporting Innovative Classrooms for the 21st Century Learner will be hosted in Edmonton on April 19 and 20, 2010.
The conference will offer a professional learning opportunity aimed at providing leaders with the knowledge and tools to effectively meet the changing needs of the 21st century learner.
Jurisdiction leaders are asked to attend with their district team in order to facilitate meaningful collaborative planning. The conference design will include opportunities for “team table talk and planning time” following the keynotes.
This
conference will focus on building instructional leadership skills, knowledge
and attitudes to:
o Develop and/or enhance a vision and plan for the effective integration of learning technology into the instructional process
o Create implementation plans and approaches
o Monitor, supervise and evaluate the appropriate and effective use of learning technologies in the instructional process
Keynote speakers for this conference include Bernajean Porter, Jim Hirsch, Julie Evans and Lynell Burmark.
